Adrian Flux - French Car Show 2007 Planning

Welcome to the new Adrian Flux Insurance French Car Show blog created to keep you up-to-date with 2007 show planning..

It hardly seems like yesterday we were enjoying the 6th annual FCS and it's now only 8 months to FCS2007. Planning started the day after FCS2006 but the pace is gathering and everything is starting to come together for our next car show.

Early indications are the show will remain firmly fixed on the late May bank holiday weekend with Track & Club Prep day on 26th May and full show day on 27th May. We will announce the date and venue on 1st January 2007 as we do each year.

We are thrilled to announce Adrian Flux Insurance http://www.adrianflux.co.uk/ is with us for the 7th year continuing as lead sponsor. This relationship has helped FCS grow and 2007 is going to be unlike any previous show with the event being taken to the next level. More will be revealed soon.

Following on from our hospitality weekend in July 06 with the largest 14 clubs who support the show, we have listened to comments and opinions both positive and negative to ensure the event is what clubs want to see and enjoy. With the changes that you want to see, we are sure you will thoroughly enjoy the weekend.

FCS has its roots in the club scene and we are not about to change that. Shows have come and gone over the past 6 years but FCS is here to stay.

Thanks

I have been to every FCS since 2001 and it is the best show by a mile. Not all Chavvy like some. Track, sprint track, karting, loads of trade. cannot wait, keep up the good work. Jon @ Cliosport.

I have been to every FCS since 2003 and agree it is a proper car show - for proper car enthusiasts. I always go on the track and 0-60 strip. It would be good to see a stunt attraction like you see at the bigger shows.
Looking forward to it already.

Thanks Jo glad you chaps are making the trip from Belgium again in 2007.

Traders were spread out too far at FCS2006 thus people never realised the true numbers that were there. Over 55 traders !

Some have asked us to press some of the well known traders to bring more stock in 2007 so we we stay on their case.

ok, there where a lot off trade stands. But the stuff they offer...never mind, whe hope that there will be more performance stands instead off stands with pink steeringwheelcovers (you know what i mean) ;-)

Had a great time this year, only prob i found was that we were all to spaced out. In previous years all the club stands were close together, this year we were all spread along the old back straight and it just didnt seem to work for me, other members of our club expressed the same point. Otherwise it was cracking again. Keep up the good work.

terrible lay out, didn't seem to be much organisation into the day, I know a fair few people, clubs and traders, that won't be coming back in 2007!!!

All comments welcome. FCS has had 6 years of fantastic shows and in 2006 the layout was changed on the weekend due to water logging. Option 1 cancel show. Option 2 amend layout with some casualties.

It's a shame one can judge a fantastic history with a blinkered view. I am pleased to say many many traders made a bomb and have rebooked for 2007 already which begs the question why didn't some others......

July 2006 FCS held a very popular weekend with all major car clubs and the feedback was constructive and postive. The feedback from major clubs didn't reflect your feelings but maybe they knew some reasoning behind our decisions.

I am pleased 2007 has some major new investment and fantastic additions to the show. Roll on FCS2007.
